In good relic condition. This was recovered at the Wilson’s Wharf battlefield on what was then private property (not National Park land). This is a battle that U.S. Colored troops engaged Confederate Maj. Gen. Fitzhugh Lee’s cavalry division. This cannon ball was most likely from Lee’s light 3 inch artillery that was attached. This is a famous battle that U.S. Colored Troops fought gallantly and successfully against the Confederates.
