In Working  condition detachable barrel Civil War period model  pistol . There is no numbers so it is impossible to accurately date this one. It is a deluxe version with checkered   wood grips and scroll engraved  frame.   This gun’s spring is tight and  it  does work and does fire and cock.  the grips are very nice. It has a detachable barrel for easy loading and European proof marks.  The gun  is about .36  caliber.  Many European weapons were exported to the US for sale before and during the Civil War. A classic Civil War period pistol and A choice functioning display gun.   A favorite of both Confederate and Union soldiers during the Civil War.
