Civil War Period 5 shot  .36 Caliber  Cap And Ball  Whitney Antique Revolver  Pistol. In Working  condition Civil War period pocket model  pistol . There is  no  numbers so it is impossible to accurately date this one but the approximate date is 1860. It is a standard  version with plain wood grips.   This gun’s spring is very tight and  does work and does  fire and it does cock. it is the first model that was scarce and quickly replaced by the 2nd model with loading lever . In good condition, nice look and  the grips are very nice. The gun  is .36 caliber 5 shot revolver. A classic Civil War pistol and A choice functioning display gun. A favorite of both Confederate and Union soldiers during the Civil War. Many Civil War soldiers carried private purchase “back up” weapons as illustrated in the photo above. This gun is 100% guaranteed to be authentic, and unaltered. A fantastic  functioning display piece. Complete museum documentation (COA) provided. This is a pre-1898 antique gun so no federal registration is required. Although this is a  working gun we do not recommend firing antique guns.
