Authentic Gettysburg Battlefield  Complete Lockplate Recovered At Derr's Woods. A very nice complete lockplate with all the parts including a broken sear pin (most likely why it was discarded). Also a barrel band found nearby. Very rare to find one complete like this. The lockplate was recovered from Derr Woods Gettysburg PA. Derr Woods is located off the Taneytown Road near Little Round Top. It was an important historic area. The Weikert Farm was next to it. The entire Third Corps fell back to this position and camped here on July 2nd 1863. Part of the Fifth Corps was also in this area. Owned by Ben Derr. There were also some temporary hospital aid stations here during the battle for Little Round Top. 100% guaranteed to be authentic Gettysburg Museum certified, museum COA provided.
