Confederate “WishBone” Belt And Buckle From The Battle Of Gettysburg William Ziegler Collection. A Civil War black leather belt with Confederate altered buckle made from a U.S. “puppy paw” buckle with it’s face taken off making a “wishbone” buckle. It was common practice for Confederate troop to use captured Yankee equipment and altered items. This is a very early Gettysburg battlefield pick-up from the William Ziegler collection.
