Original Civil War Musket Ball Recovered At Gettysburg Made Into An Antique Stanhope Watch FOB. Early Souvenir Certified. An original very early pickup Gettysburg musket ball made into a stanhope of the Jennie Wade House. Stanhope bullets were made shortly after the Civil War until the early 2oth century. Shortly after the end of the Civil War, bullets were gathered up from the battlefield stanhope lenses (complete with a variety of images) were ordered from a French manufacturer. The lenses were then locally installed by relic shops. You place the bullet (or ball) up to your eye and look toward light and the image appears! This example was made into a watch fob. This artifact is original and The ball exhibits nice early picup patina. A prized item for civil war collectors and enthusiasts as well as stanhope collectors. The image inside is the Jennie Wade House and is very much like the image we show. We tried to get a photo of the mini stanhope but could not. The image is excellent and clear. All Gettysburg relics were obtained before it was national Park and are 100% legal to own. There will be no more bullets or relics from Gettysburg because relic hunting is now prohibited. Comes museum documentation (COA). A great scarce early Gettysburg battlefield souvenir.
