A 4″/7.5″ note card with Adolf Hitler’s embossed eagle and name with New Year Wish. “herzliche glückwünsche zum jahreswechsel” translates roughly to: “congratulations on the turn of the year” This card was taken by a U.S. soldier from Hitler’s the Brown House in Munich at the end of WWII. This card is in good condition and display very well. Back has some tape residue from a scrap book the GI had it in (does not effect the face) Recovered in May 1945 as “Loot” or “Trophy of War”. It was from the Dr. Mark Griffith collection who wrote several books of WWII and interviewed hundreds of Veterans.
