Herman Goering’s Personally Owned Silver Large Serving Spoon Recovered Under His Home Oberalzberg By A U.S. Soldier. This is Herman Goering’s family crest set from his personal service set used in home at Obersazberg and found in the air raid tunnel under his home. This tunnel was called by some U.S. 101st Airborne soldiers who found it “Alladin’s Cave”. In this “cave” was a hoard of silver and valuables and fine art  stashed there by Goering during the last days of WWII (see photos of some of the items found). This spoon has all the correct hallmarks. Goering was the number 2 person in the Third Reich and was know for fancy extravagant wealth.  He was the top Nazi next to Hitler and was tried and convicted at the Nuremberg trials. After his his conviction he cheated the hangman by taking poison. This spoon was taken by a U.S. Soldier during WWII as “Loot” or “Trophy of War”. This Goering silver pattern was found in his personal home at Obersalzberg near Berchtesgaden, Germany  in May of 1945. 100% guaranteed to be authentic complete museum documentation (COA) provided. An amazing historical artifact from the 20th century’s most infamous bands of characters. We have just a few pieces of silver and it always sells very fast when we get it. Don’t miss your chance to own a real museum authenticated piece with solid Museum provenance. Please see our other Goering silver on the web site. Third Reich silver is a great investment item and the prices keep going up and with Museum provenance makes this a rare and desirable piece. Very RARE!
