The SA runes button is in good condition. The nickel grip eagle is the style with a point behind the head; this bird shows only modest wear. The scabbard shell is a fine example and straight throughout, with a few very minor dings on the lower reverse. The “anodized” finish is somewhat intact, with some of the the factory lacquer. The scabbard mounts are in very nice condition, with a good lower ball with a small ding (see photos) . The four original nickel screws are in place and unturned. Attached to the carrying ring is the original short hanger. It is an early example with nickel hardware and an unmarked conventional snap clip. The blade is excellent, with full crossgrain and nice deep, dark SA motto. The dark and crisp acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto.
