Original WWII Era German SA SS Sports Badge In Bronze Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. A fantastic piece of WWII history. Hitler conferred official national status to the badge and expanded it to include a silver and gold grade. When the badges gained official national status, bestowal was opened to all German nationals who were strongly encouraged to qualify for award of one of the three grades. The slightly convex badge takes the form of an upright Roman broad sword superimposed over a mobile swastika, all encompassed by a circular oak-leaf wreath. This die struck bronze. This example has the first pattern inscription (1934-35) “Eigentum D. Chefs D. Ausbildungswesens” (Property of-the Head of Physical-conditioning) embossed to its reverse. Maker marked . Its complete flat pin, soldered hinge and catch assembly is intact. Nice untouched example. Back has some patina, front looks very nice. Nice SA badge captured by an U.S. Veteran and brought home as a war trophy. 100% Guaranteed to be authentic. Complete museum documentation (COA) Provided. Certified by The Gettysburg Museum of History. The Gettysburg Museum of History does not support or condone Adolf Hitler or the Nazi Party and is only offering this as a historic relic.
