Original WWII Era German Hitler Youth Leader’s Dress Brocade Belt Buckle Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified.  On November 6TH 1936 a new circular HJ Leaders belt buckle was introduced and wear of the standard HJ box buckle was discontinued for all Officer’s ranks. On its introduction the HJ Leaders belt buckle was only produced in silver but additional regulations of September 30TH 1938 established a gold version. After the introduction of the gold buckle regulations dictated that the HJ Officer’s wear the appropriate colored buckle to match the color of their shoulder board insignia devices. Stamped alloy 50 mm diameter silvered buckle, reverse stamped “RZM (double circle) M4/22” indicating Christian Theodor Dicke as the manufacturer. Belt is fabricated from a fine aluminum wire with two rows of black nylon on the upper, the edges and reverse in chocolate brown cotton, with paper tag printed in red ink and glued in place on the underside of the belt near the receiving clip, the tag marked with the RZM (Reichszeugmeisterei) and Hitler Youth insignias, inscribed “Hersteller” (Manufacturer) and “Reichjeugmeisterei der NSDAP”, maker stamped “M4/3” (Hans Schonfelder, Mittweida), marked with a large “L” and a smaller “A” and numbered , smooth finished butterscotch leather tab stitched in place on the underside at the buckle end, the tab with fourteen rows of two holes each for length adjustment  two sliders on the belt, the slider at the buckle end with a brown wool and cotton flap stitched in place on the reverse, the belt measuring 45 mm x 1,070 mm. Some separation at tip but the loop makes this belt functional and it looks great! some light storage wear. Superb, untouched example.  Brought home by a U.S. Veteran of the 6th Armored Division part of a large hoard of items we recently obtained.
