Original WWII Era German NSDAP (Nazi) Party 1934 NATIONAL LABOR DAY BADGE Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. As was common at the time any group or organization holding an event would normally produce a badge or lapel pin to commemorative the event. These badges/lapel pins would be worn by participants, or given away or sold to promote the event or raise funds as required. A 35mm diameter, hollow struck, bronzed alloy badge featuring a male bust figure above the national eagle and swastika, with “19” and “34” to either side of the swastika, and a hammer to the left with a sickle to the right. The implements represent farm and industry. “Tag der Arbeit” (Day of Labor) arches along the top. The initials “RK,” no doubt the designer’s, may be seen alongside the base of the sickle. A horizontal pin-back device is soldered to its reverse. A scarce bade from the early days of Hitler’s power 1934. We have obtained a collection of a few of these and we will pick the best one for you, the maker mark might vary. All in good condition as pictured.
