Original WWII German Panzer Skull P.O.W. Art Wood Carving Certified
Original WWII German Panzer Skull P.O.W. Art Wood Carving Certified. A very interesting hand carved high relief German Panzer skull and swastika made by a German Prisoner of War. German POW’s made these type of carvings and would trade them for cigarettes, candy, coffee, and favors with their guards. The old tag says it was carved in Africa from Cypress wood. We have seen several of these over the years of different carvings. Many times in the form of other badges like Iron Crosses but we never saw a Panzer Skull before. The Skull was the symbol of the Panzer units and early SS units, and the Skull with lower jaw was the later version of the SS symbol. A fascinating artifact seldom seen from a German POW. We believe the stand may have been added but the carving is 100% authentic from WWII. in excellent condition. Complete museum documentation (COA) Provided. Certified by The Gettysburg Museum of History. An outstanding example worthy of the most refined collection. The Gettysburg Museum of History does not support or condone Adolf Hitler or the Nazi Party and is only offering this as a historic relic. Please see our other items.
