Round Pin Roughly, 31mm diameter, nicely convexed, die struck alloy brooch with a silver wash and black, white and red enameled finishes. The brooch features a black enameled circular outer border with embossed silver washed Gothic script, “Deutsches Rotes Kreuz Helferin”, (German Red Cross Helper), encompassing a white enameled circular inner field with a central red enameled Greek style cross. Some loss to enamel (see photo). The solid reverse features embossed script, “Ges. Gesch”., indicating, Gesetzlich Geschützt. Cap badge DRK visor cap eagle for wear by all ranks as introduced in January 1938 as a replacement for the first, (1935), pattern eagle. Die struck alloy eagle with black and red enamel work and nickel/silver plated finishes. The stylized, black enamel eagle features down swept wings with a nickel/silver plated swastika to its breast, clutching a red enamel cross in its talons.
