Papers Please! A Group Of Original WWII Era German Documents Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. A Wehrpas and Ausmulterungsfchein plus letters issued during the Third Reich period. Nice complete example. Different examples Various hand written entries. Every German Solider had one but few were saved after the De-Nazifiacation of Germany after the war. All this massive group of documents were in this double wallet and carried by the Soldier during Allied occupation. It made perfect sense to carry as much proof as possible that (in this case) he was not a Nazi Party member or SS member and your war time roll was not something that involved war crimes. This was done for self-preservation in a time that Germans were being rounded up and jailed and sometime executed for their war time rolls. Showing your history in a massive document group could save your neck!  The old cliche’ they would say is “I am not a Nazi I was just a simple solider following orders”. These are excellent for teachers and researchers. During de-Nazification much of this type of material like so many WWII documents was destroyed.  in good condition. Complete museum documentation (COA) Provided. Certified by The Gettysburg Museum of History. The Gettysburg Museum of History does not support or condone Adolf Hitler or the Nazi Party and is only offering this as a historic relic.
