  • Original WWII German RARE NSKK “Ground Rohm” Dagger Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified

SOLD Original German NSKK Rare "Ground Rohm" Dagger Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified.  In 1934 Ernst Röhm instituted a honor dagger for members serving in the SA and NSKK prior to December 1931. The dagger was identical in every respect to the standard SA/NSKK dagger with the exception that it had the inscription "In Herzlicher Freundschaft Ernst Röhm" to the reverse of the blade. After Röhm’s fall from power during the "The night of the long knives" in 1934, all SA/NSKK personal where ordered to remove the inscription. Surviving examples can sometimes be found,  the majority of the daggers had it completely ground off.  This early Carl Eickhorn example has excellent nickel crossguards being the in house variety produced by Eickhorn. These guards have good smooth surfaces, crisp edges and the very deep hand done accent grooves we usually see with this maker. Additionally the guards are marked internally “H.E.”. The tang nut does not look to have been apart  on this dagger. The lower reverse crossguard is gruppe marked “Ho”. The grip is a fine medium brown colored fruitwood. It shows some usage signs but overall it is still in excellent condition having a good close graining which runs vertical. The grip fits the crossguards fairly nice but Eickhorns aren’t known for always having a perfect fit. The SA runes button is in good condition and the early grip eagle is the high-necked variety having full details to the eye, breast feathering, wing feathering, legs, wreath and raised mobile swastika. Not a bad hilt here. The scabbard shell is straight throughout. It has old original black paint which was originally done when the NSKK ordered their SA scabbards painted. This paint  is nice with some spidering but minimal loss. These nickel mounts exactly match the patination of the crossguards. They are in good condition throughout to include the lower ball. The lower mount appears to have its original screws. The upper mount has a later style domehead screw. The blade of this example is still mostly bright having a few stains on the obverse as well as the reverse. The Röhm inscription appears to have been completely ground off of this blade. There was no attempt to regrain the area so the inscription points are fairly rough. The owner really must have wanted the Rohm inscription GONE! It is possible to see the original graining though in all the areas where the grounding did not occur. The trademark is the early oval type that has a seated squirrel with serrated tail. The crossguard contours perfectly fit the blade shoulders. An original “as found” untouched Röhm dagger. Come with a single piece hanger,  (see photo). This is fresh to the collector's market, and has never been touched or polished or shined, or taken apart.  This is the way we like them! If you ever wanted a rare untouched ground Rohm NSKK dagger this is your chance! U.S. Veteran bring-back condition. Gettysburg Museum Certified (COA) provided. Rare 100% Guaranteed to be authentic pre-1935.  Sold for historic purposes only. $345.00
Original WWII German Waffen SS Officer's Visor Cap Eagle Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. $445.00

The skull features detailed eye and nose cut-outs, two rows of teeth and bottom jaw, superimposed over crossed bones. The skull also has subtle cranium and bone detailing. The skull retains all of its original silver wash. The hollow backed reverse of the skull is a mirror image of the obverse. The prongs are securely crimped in place, and then soldered, as usually seen on Overhoff made CupAl SS Cap Skulls. The prongs are made of Tombak (Brass), and exhibit both the makers RZM code of “M1/24”, as well as the characteristic three dashes on the pin itself. It is unknown what caused these dashes, but it is a common trait on most Overhoff produced metal insignia prongs. A Very Rare Early NSDAP (Nazi) Party S.A. Original WWII German Clasp To The Iron Cross 2nd Class Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified

    $229.00
Original WWII German Clasp To The Iron Cross 2nd Class Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. On September 1ST 1939 Hitler once more reinstituted the Iron Cross series of awards in the First and Second Classes and established the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross and two new Spangen, (Bars), for the first and second class awards to be bestowed to recipients of the 1939 Iron Cross who had also been awarded a first or second class 1914 Iron Cross during WWI. Originally the first pattern of this award had slightly scalloped tips to the ends of the date bar which was soon replaced with the second pattern award with diagonally angled ends. Recipients of an Iron Cross Bar were permitted, with the proper documentation, to privately purchase a jeweler’s copy of the award, at their own expense, if so desired. Due to the prestige of the award personnel who could afford it would opt to buy a jeweler’s copy for everyday wear with the actual award being put away for safe keeping. Nicely detailed, second pattern, die struck alloy construction award with a polished nickel/silver plated finish. The award is in the form of a national eagle with outstretched wings, clutching an oak-leaf wreath which encompasses a canted swastika above a horizontal, trapezoidal, date bar with diagonally angled ends, and embossed institution date, "1939". The award shows nice detailing including feathering to the eagles wings and a subtly textured background field to the swastika and the date bar. The plain reverse has all of its original four, horizontal, soldered attachment prongs intact. U.S. Veteran bring-back condition.  Gettysburg Museum Certified (COA) provided. Scarce Early Left Facing WWII German Hat Eagle Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified

    $69.00
Scarce Early Left Facing WWII German Hat Eagle Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified . Visor caps were a standard item for all personnel during the Third Reich period and regulations dictated the form of dress they were to be worn with based on the individuals rank. Officers and certain senior NCO ranks were responsible for purchasing their own caps and as a result were allotted a clothing allowance through the army’s Kleiderkasse, (Clothing Account), system. The Officers and certain senior NCO’s could choose to purchase their caps from the armed forces clothing depots or to privately purchase visor caps of higher quality. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps although the price may have been restrictive. Originally the insignia worn on the visor cap consisted of the Weimar Reichsheer pattern oak-leaf wreath and cockade until March 14TH 1933 when the Reichswehr’s oval black, red and gold cockade was replaced with a circular cockade in black, white, and red. First pattern (Scarce left facing eagle) zinc construction national eagle with outstretched wings, clutching a wreathed, canted swastika in its talons. The Luftwaffe pattern national eagle was originally introduced for wear by Fliegerschaft personnel on August 18TH 1934, and adopted for wear by the Luftwaffe on March 1ST 1935. The first pattern national eagle was utilized until a modified second pattern eagle was introduced in late 1936 or early 1937. The sports shirt eagle was introduced on July 4TH 1935 to be worn on the front center of the sports shirt. Of Note: NCO ranks were identified by the addition of a black stripe around the neck of the sports shirt.  The insignia consists of a roughly, 9cm x 16cm wide, woven, white, rayon, inverted triangular base with a black, machine woven, second pattern, (circa 1936/1937-1945), Luftwaffe eagle, with out-stretched wings to the center. The eagles wingspan is roughly, 14cm wide from tip to tip. Scarce smaller sized variant.  Typical storage wear, good condition.  Complete museum documentation (COA) Provided. Certified by The Gettysburg Museum of History. 100% guaranteed to be authentic pre-1945. The Gettysburg Museum of History does not support or condone Adolf Hitler or the Nazi Party and is only offering this as a historic relic. Papers Please! An Outstanding Massive Group Of Original WWII Era German Documents Of A Wehrmacht Soldier Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History

    $149.00
Papers Please! A Group Of Original WWII Era German Documents Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. A Wehrpas and Ausmulterungsfchein plus letters issued during the Third Reich period. Nice complete example. Different examples Various hand written entries. Every German Solider had one but few were saved after the De-Nazifiacation of Germany after the war. All this massive group of documents were in this double wallet and carried by the Soldier during Allied occupation. It made perfect sense to carry as much proof as possible that (in this case) he was not a Nazi Party member or SS member and your war time roll was not something that involved war crimes. This was done for self-preservation in a time that Germans were being rounded up and jailed and sometime executed for their war time rolls. Showing your history in a massive document group could save your neck!  The old cliche' they would say is "I am not a Nazi I was just a simple solider following orders". These are excellent for teachers and researchers. During de-Nazification much of this type of material like so many WWII documents was destroyed.  in good condition. Complete museum documentation (COA) Provided. Certified by The Gettysburg Museum of History. The Gettysburg Museum of History does not support or condone Adolf Hitler or the Nazi Party and is only offering this as a historic relic.
