Assmann & Sohne, Ludenscheid) and marked "DRGM 38" with clip on the reverse, 47 mm, aluminum receiving loop with dual prongs, belt embroidered in silver and brown bullion wire with brown cotton backer, two sliding belt loops fabricated from same, adjustable light brown leather tab on the reverse on the left side with ten rows of two holes each for an adjustable fit, the tab maker marked Assmann, 45 mm wide x 1,140 in length, extremely fine. Authentic WWII German Army Belt Buckle Taken By U.S. Soldier (COA)Out Of STOCK Original WWII German Army (Heer) belt buckle with leather tab. combat box buckle features a smooth outer field with a high relief, embossed Wehrmacht eagle with down swept wings to the slightly domed center, encompassed by an oak-leaf cluster to the bottom and script, "Gott mit Uns", (God with Us), to the top. The oak-leaf cluster and script are on a ribbed background and are encircled by both an inner and outer simulated twisted rope border. The reverse of the buckle is a mirror image of the obverse. This buckle was brought home by a U.S. soldier as a war trophy. In very good condition. A fine original example. We have several. We will pick out the best one from our current inventory.
