    Original WWII Japanese Army Hat Brought Back By A U.S. Veteran

    Original WWII Japanese Army Hat Brought Back By A U.S. Veteran. wool/linen construction olive drab field cap used by the Japanese army until the end of the war. Above its short visor, made of the same material as the body, is sewn wool star. The doubled, leather chin strap is complete with its two adjustable sliders. Two reinforced eyelets are to either side of the 4cm vertical slash to the reverse of the cap, bound together by an adjustable tie string. The cap has a period field repair (see photos). The interior is fully lined and has original ink stamps.
