Our Vision
The Gettysburg Museum of History envisions a future where history is not only preserved but experienced, understood, and shared. Through the creation of a new, expanded 2,300-square-foot museum facility, we will build a space that connects visitors of all ages to the stories, artifacts, and individuals who shaped our nation — including the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, World War II, and modern conflicts.
Their Legacy is Our Mission.

Dick Winters in Holland
Before Their Voices Fade — Help Build Their Home in Pennsylvania
Major Dick Winters, one of Pennsylvania’s own, led with quiet courage and shaped the legacy of Easy Company. But every day, we lose more members of the Greatest Generation — and with them, irreplaceable stories of sacrifice and leadership.
Your support will help build a new museum wing that preserves their history, honors Winters, and keeps these stories alive for generations.

Their legacy is Our Mission – and the Time is Now
A message from our Board Chair, JD Huitt of the History Underground.
Every day, irreplaceable artifacts from America’s past sit unseen, waiting for a permanent home where their stories can be told. The Gettysburg Museum of History’s expansion will change that- creating new galleries, immersive exhibits, and educational spaces where visitors can connect personally with the man and women who shaped our nation.

Support the Mission
Your donation today builds the future of this museum:
- Expands exhibit space so hundreds of never-before-seen artifacts can finally be displayed.
- Preserves history by conserving priceless items.
- Educates and inspires future generations through interactive exhibits.
- Keeps admission free, ensuring that everyone, from students to veterans, can experience history without barriers.
Why now? Because history cannot wait. Every day we delay, the risk of losing access, preservation, and stories grows greater.
