    Herman Goering’s Personal Hunting Monogram Large Silver butter knife Taken By A U.S. Soldier From His Train Car. Adolf Hitler’s Number 2 man Herman Goering  Personal “Hunting Association.” seal  Silver fork Taken By A U.S. Soldier WWII. A  silver table butter knife with fancy engraved swastika and hunting horns. This knife has all the correct hallmarks. Goering was the number 2 person in the Third Reich and was know for fancy extravagant wealth. He was also in charge of the German hunting association. He was the top Nazi next to Hitler and was tried and convicted at the Nuremberg trials. After his his conviction he cheated the hangman by taking poison. This knife was taken by a U.S. Soldier during WWII as “Loot” or “Trophy of War”. This Goering silver pattern was found in his personal train at Berchtesgaden, Germany  in May of 1945. It was from the Dr. Mark Griffith collection who wrote several books of WWII and interviewed hundreds of Veterans. A 4"/7.5" note card with Adolf Hitler's gold embossed eagle and "Munchen" (Munich) in gold.  We have several that were taken by a U.S. soldier from Hitler's Apartment and the Brown House in Munich at the end of WWII.     Original WWII German Luftwaffe CIVILIAN TECHNICIAN OF THE CHIEF OF SUPPLY & PROCUREMENT SERVICE BREAST BADGE The Luftwaffe pattern national eagle was originally introduced for wear by Fliegerschaft, (Pilot Base), personnel of the DLV, Deutscher Luftsportsverband The insignia consists of a woven, golden yellow, inverted triangular, cotton base with a machine embroidered Luftwaffe style eagle in flight, clutching a canted swastika in one talon, superimposed on a multi-cogged, gear wheel and flanked by the initials, "G" and "L" indicating, General Luftzeugamt, (General Aviation Ordnance/Supply Office), all in black rayon threads. The eagle is very similar to the standard Luftwaffe eagle but is facing to its right as opposed to its left. The golden yellow cotton base also has a fine, machine embroidered, black rayon stripe positioned near the outer edges.     Original WWII German Luftwaffe Construction Personal Breast Eagle Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran. Scarce Luftwaffe pattern national eagle was originally introduced for wear by Fliegerschaft, (Pilot Base), personnel of the DLV, Deutscher Luftsportsverband, (German Air Sports Association). The insignia consists of an, inverted triangular, woven, black cotton base with a machine embroidered Luftwaffe style eagle in flight, clutching a canted swastika in one talon, positioned below machine embroidered Latin script, "L. Bau.", indicating Air Force Construction, all in silvery/grey rayon threads. The eagle is very similar to the standard Luftwaffe eagle but is facing to its right as opposed to its left.     Original WWII German NSKK Sleeve Eagle Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran. Shortly after the purge of the SA in the "Night of the Long Knives," in June 1934, the NSKK was promoted to an official NSDAP organization, given independent status within the party, and absorbed the SA Motor Squadrons personnel. The insignia is comprised of a machine woven, silver/aluminum flat-wire thread NSKK eagle and swastika beneath an arching banner reading "N.S.K.K.". Size 95mm x 50mm.     Original German NSDAP (Nazi) Party Enamel Membership Badge Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History

    Original German NSDAP (Nazi) Party Enamel RZM Marked Membership Badge Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. The NSDAP, Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, (National Socialist German Worker’s Party), was originally founded in Munich as the DAP, Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, (German Worker’s Party), on January 5TH 1919. When Adolf Hitler joined the DAP in the autumn of 1919 he was to reform what was basically a debating society into an active political party. Appointed as the first chairman of the party on July 29TH 1921 Hitler was to restructure it along para-military lines in a hierarchy of four levels of government. Of Note: In late 1934 items manufactured for the NSKK, including membership pins, came under the quality control of the RZM, Reichzeugmeisterei, (National Equipment Quartermaster) and as a result were marked with the RZM logo when appropriate. Standard issue membership badge awarded to all personnel on acceptance as an official party member. 24mm diameter, die struck alloy badge NSDAP membership badge with multi-colored enamel work. Badge features a translucent red, circular outer border with embossed silvered script, "National-Sozialistiche-D.A.P.", encompassing a white enamel field with canted black enamel swastika. Pebbled field is visible below the translucent red enameled outer border. Well marked with embossed the "RZM" logo, beside which is embossed the manufacturer’s code.  In good condition with very minor storage wear.     Original Iwo Jima vial of black volcanic sand (unique to Iwo). The background is authentic U.S. Marine camouflage from WWII. Access to Iwo Jima is now very limited making sand from this location almost impossible to find. These items came from a collection of relics obtained by a U.S. Marine who spent time on the island in the 1980’s and had the foresight to collect a few items and a jar of the unique sand. The most recognizable pieces of insignia associated with the Nazi regime is the swastika flag. Utilized by pretty much by all the organization of the Third Reich in one form or another. The swastika, (a Sanskrit word meaning “well being”), is an ancient symbol that was utilized in numerous diverse cultures and signified both the cycle of life and the sun.     SOLD Original WWII Period NSDAP (Nazi) Cloth Double Sided Parade Pennant Banner.  With a deep understanding of pageantry and symbolism, and its propaganda and psychological effectiveness, the NSDAP went to great lengths to reinforce their political party to the general populace of Germany, with repetitive slogans and the omnipresent use of the swastika. Swastikas adorned flags, banners and pennants and were utilized at every possible opportunity. This type of cloth pennant was placed across streets on a long cloth string during parades and event.  A multi-piece cotton construction pennant, 12 inces across with a 5 inch tall hoist edge.     Original WWII German Army Infantry Officer's Collar Tabs Uniformed Removed By U.S. Veteran. The use of collar ornamentation on military uniforms was utilized by numerous assorted nations with the main function being the indication of the wearers rank and/or branch of service. During the Third Reich era collar tabs for company and field grade Officers ranks underwent two minor alterations with the main modification being in the material and the form of construction utilized. The company and field grade Officers style collar tabs were worn in matching pairs by the ranks of Leutnant to Oberst The collar tabs feature hand embroidered litzen in bright silver/aluminum wire threads with white rayon branch of service stripes mounted on a dark blue/green badge cloth bases. The blue/green badge cloth bases show through as the center stripe of the litzen. The bases are mounted on buckram backings. Removed from a uniform.     CIVIL AIR DEFENCE HONOR DECORATION 2ND CLASS, 1938. (Luftschutz Ehrenzeichen. Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran. Roughly, 4 cm diameter die struck zinc construction award. The circular award features an embossed oak-leaf wreath to the outside edge encompassing an embossed, canted, swastika on a subtly pebbled field encircled by the embossed, Latin script, "Für Verdienste im Luftschutz", (For Meritorious Service in Air Defence), to the obverse. The reverse also has the embossed, oak-leaf wreath to the outside edge encompassing the embossed, institution date, "1938", also on a subtly pebbled field.     SOLD Original Scarce WWII German Luftwaffe (Airforce) 12 Year Long Service Medal Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran. Gilt washed, die struck, magnetic metal, third class award for twelve years service. The award features an embossed Wehrmacht style eagle with down-swept wings encompassed by Gothic script, "Treue Dienste in der Wehrmacht" (Loyal Service in the Armed Forces), on a smooth background field to the obverse. The reverse has a large embossed numeral, "12", to the center encompassed by an embossed circular oak-leaf wreath also on a smooth background field. The ribbon suspension loop and ring are both intact.   • Outstanding WWII German Police Uniform Tunic, Pants, And Overcoat Brought Back By A U.S. Veteran

    SOLD Outstanding WWII German Police Uniform Tunic, Pants, And Overcoat Brought Back By A U.S. Veteran. A standard "rural police" type Nice quality, light weight, slightly mottled, Police green, wool/rayon blend construction service tunic with a subtle whipcord weave features a vertical, eight button front closure with two metal hooks and eyes positioned at the forward neckline and a lay down collar. (slight tear in collar (see photos) The full length of both left and right front closure panel edges are trimmed in light grey wool truppenfarben piping. The tunic has two, pleated, patch, breast pockets and two, slightly diagonally angled, slash hip pockets, all with scalloped button down flaps. The straight cut, non-adjustable, sleeves have simulated French cuffs in chocolate brown wool with dual ornamental buttons to the outside sleeve seams and light grey wool truppenfarben piping to the top edges. War Merit ribbon 2nd class in button hole. The upper left sleeve has a nice quality, hand embroidered, police officer’s sleeve eagle featuring out-stretched wings, clutching a wreathed, canted swastika in it’s talons encompassed by a vertically oval, oak-leave wreath in bright silver/aluminum wire threads with a black rayon swastika, all mounted on a cut-out, slightly mottled, police green wool base.  The wool base is neatly handstitched to the tunic. The reverse of the tunic has a central, vertical, tail skirt vent with two, ornamental buttons to the top edge and an additional two, ornamental buttons to the bottom edge. The tail skirt vent is flanked by small, ornamentally, vertical panels which are piped in light grey wool truppenfarben. The tunic has sewn on shoulder boards in bright, silver/aluminum Russian braid with one  gilt washed, stamped alloy, rank pips and the silver washed, showing an NCO rank. The matching pants are outstanding in every way. Almost perfect. The overcoat or  Police green greatcoat as introduced in July 1936 for the newly unified German State Police, to replace the previously worn navy blue uniforms. Police green cloth construction, double breasted style greatcoat. Greatcoat features two vertical, parallel rows of six silver washed, pebbled, alloy, buttons with corresponding button holes. Single metal hook and eye closure at neck with a small protective fabric tab. Two diagonally angled slash pockets with rounded forward edge flaps at front waistband. Horizontal half waist belt with dual button closure to reverse waistband. Lay down collar of chocolate brown wool. Sew on shoulder boards for the rank of NCO matching the tunic.  One small areas of mothing, (see photo) but not bad. All of the insignia and buttons look to be original stitching. Interior fully lined in cotton/rayon.  Nice worn and used example showing the expected but minimal age and wear. captured by a U.S. Veteran and brought home as a war trophy.   • Large 50″/95″ Original WWII Period German Early NSDAP (Nazi) Party Flag Brought Home By A U.S. Solider As A Trophy Of War Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History

    SOLD Original WWII Period very large Nazi Flag  Captured By U.S. Soldiers. This is a double sided typical vet bring back flag. It is A very large size about 50″ /95″ double sided NSDAP (Nazi) Party  flag.  Made of  cotton bunting type cloth and with  multi piece construction and screened swastika. It  a loop on the top to attach to a flag pole. The corners have same fraying and slight loss. We placed a helmet on the flag for a size reference. A standard  style Nazi flag as seen in political rallies and  political events. A fantastic piece of WWII history.  There are  few minor condition  issues,  minor fading (see photos).  The Vet who sent it home kept a German dress bayonet wrapped in the flag and the heat made a transfer of the paint from the bayonet frog onto the flag! See photos. It definitely effects the value but it's p[art of the story. We have priced the flag accordingly.     Original WWII Period German SA MILITARY DEFENSE/TEAM Sports Arm Band. The "SA -Wehrmannschaft" (SA -Military-defense-training-groups) were formed in January 1939 as a response to Hitler's decree for the SA to provide pre- and post-military defense training to all civilian males aged from 18 to 65 years old. Effectively a Home Guard comprised of those deemed unfit for regular military service due to age or partial infirmity, they wore a distinctive armband which incorporated the "SA -Wehrabzeichen" (SA Sports-badge) which, after July 1942, was restricted to wear on civilian clothing. The approximately 11cm x 45cm red cotton armband has a 9cm diameter white field sewn to it, upon which is the SA sports badge machine woven in copper-colored threads. The SA sports badge is in the form of an upright short sword against a mobile swastika surrounded by an oak leaf wreath. The armband's vertical seam is to the reverse. To its obverse is an eagle with a wreathed, mobile swastika in its talons, underneath of which is the forward-facing, disembodied head of Hitler, with the helmeted, profiled head of a soldier to the right, and the kepi-wearing head of an S.A. man to the left. This presumably symbolizes the union of the party and the armed forces. "Reichsparteitag 1935" is embossed to the bottom of the badge, Complete pin and catch assembly.     SOLD Original Early Hitler Youth Knife With Etched Blade Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran. The HJ Fahrtenmesser, (Hike/Camp knife), was introduced in early 1933 and was the first blade sidearm to be officially sanctioned by the NSDAP. Of Note: Although the HJ camp knife was the first, officially sanctioned, blade, side arm the SA dagger was the first, officially sanctioned, dagger. Originally the camp knife was intended for wear by all HJ members regardless of rank but in 1937 a presentation Leader’s dagger was introduced for wear by the ranks of Gefolgschaftsführer to Reichsjugendführer and the camp knife was relegated for wear by the ranks of Hauptgefolgschaftsführer and below. The early, (Circa 1933-1938), HJ camp knife, with blade motto, has a roughly, 5 1/8", (13 cm), long, drop forged, steel construction, single edged, non-fullered, nickel/silver plated, blade and a full length, including the hilt of roughly, 9 1/4", (23.6 cm). The obverse of the blade has the acid etched motto, "Blut und Ehre!", (Blood and Honor), in a facsimile of RJF von Schirach’s handwriting.  The tooled steel construction hilt features a single, up-swept, cross guard arm and a stylized eagle head pommel. The knife has molded, black, diamond grooved, Bakelite grips with dual, small, dome headed, alloy retaining rivets fully intact. The obverse grip has an embedded enameled and silver washed alloy HJ diamond. The HJ diamond features red enamel top and bottom quarters and white enamel side quarters with a central, canted, black enamel swastika. The diamond has the correct translucent red enamel with a pebbled field visible underneath.     SOLD Adolf Hitler/Eva Braun's Personal Lace Table Runner Recovered From The Berghof By A U.S. Veteran. A lace table runner in excellent condition found at the Berghof (his home). recovered from the Berghof tunnels by one of the very first U.S. solider’s to enter. Sgt. Russell Dysert fought with the 441st Antiaircraft Artillery Battalion attached to the 3rd Infantry Division. He and a small party of Officer’s and men entered Hitler’s Bergof complex first and he was able to secure some very choice Hitler Souvenirs including a Hitler pistol and his silver from the service sets. Many items were found in the air-raid tunnels underneath the Berghof. There were air-raids just before the Allies arrived and some of Hitler’s valuables were moved to the tunnels underneath for safe keeping. Sgt. Dysert drove a mail truck and jeep and started to loot, being the mail clerk he shipped several boxes of items home. He used napkins, tablecloths, and in this case Hitler- Braun’s tablerunner to wrap silver in to mail home. This lace table runner  was obtained by Dr. Mark Griffith directly from Sgt. Dysert and was part of his collection too. The badge is in the form of a circular oak-leaf wreath encompassing an upward pointing Roman broad sword which is superimposed on a central, canted swastika.     Original WWII German Luftwaffe M35 Sports Shirt Eagle brought Home By A U.S. Veteran.  Physical fitness of its personnel was a prime concern of the German Wehrmacht, (Armed Forces), and each new recruit was issued a specific sport uniform that consisted of a white pullover "tank top" style shirt, navy blue shorts, black or green swim trunks and athletic shoes. Additional sports wear was optional. The Luftwaffe pattern national eagle was originally introduced for wear by Fliegerschaft personnel on August 18TH 1934, and adopted for wear by the Luftwaffe on March 1ST 1935. The first pattern national eagle was utilized until a modified second pattern eagle was introduced in late 1936 or early 1937. The sports shirt eagle was introduced on July 4TH 1935 to be worn on the front center of the sports shirt. The insignia consists of a roughly, 12cm, 27cm wide, woven, white, rayon, inverted triangular base with a black, machine woven, second pattern, (circa 1936/1937-1945), Luftwaffe eagle, with out-stretched wings to the center. The eagles wingspan is roughly, 21cm wide from tip to tip.     Outstanding WWII German Infantry EM/NCO Visor Hat Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran

    Outstanding WWII German Infantry EM/NCO Visor Hat Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran.  Visor caps were a standard issue item for all personnel during the Third Reich period and regulations dictated the form of dress they were to be worn with based on the individuals rank. Regulations for wear of the visor cap by EM/NCO ranks dictated that they be worn with the Reporting and Walking-Out dress, and the Undress uniform. Regulations also required Senior NCO’s to wear the visor cap with the Service uniform. Nice quality, private purchase, visor cap with a field-grey wool body and crown and a blue/green badge cloth centerband with white wool waffenfarbe to the crown edge and both the top and bottom edges of the centerband. The front center of the cap has a silver washed, stamped aluminum, second pattern, national eagle. The front center of the centerband has a second pattern, stamped, polished natural aluminum, oak-leaf wreath encompassing a three piece, high relief, national tri-color cockade. The cap has a blackened patent leather chinstrap intact with two, black painted, rectangular, sheet metal retaining clips and two black painted, vertically oval, sliding length adjustment buckles. The chinstrap is secured to the cap by two, small, smooth finish, black painted, magnetic sheet metal buttons. The cap has an extended, black lacquered vulcanfibre visor with a subtly raised lip at the forward edge. Visor has some slight cracking on the very surface (see photos)  the visor is still firmly held in place. The interior of the cap is fully lined in green rayon and has its original celluloid sweat diamond intact. The interior of the cap also has a complete original erstaz paper sweatband that has a bit of staining from sweat (see photos) size 56. There is no mothing on this hat as seen in so many other examples and other that the slight sweat in the inside band and the slight surface cracking on the visor this hat is NEAR MINT.     SOLD Original WWII German Army NON-MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES ARMBAND. The Army Mobilization Order of March 12TH 1937, introduced a wide variety of armbands that were worn to identify personnel performing specific duties or functions for the Armed Forces. Most of the armbands were worn on the upper left sleeve of uniformed or non-uniformed personnel and were worn only while the individual was performing the specific duty or function identified by the armband. The "Nicht-Wehrmachtangehörige", (Non-Members of the Armed Forces), armband was one of the armbands introduced with the Army Mobilization Order of March 12TH 1937 and was designed for wear by combatants who were not members of the Armed Forces. Roughly, 10.5cm tall, 34cm long, woven, golden yellow cotton construction armband with a machine woven, stylized, right facing, national eagle with out-stretched wings, clutching a wreathed, canted, swastika in it’s talons, in black cotton threads, to the obverse center. The stylized eagle shows nice detailing and has a roughly, 15.5cm wingspan from wing tip to wing tip. The top and bottom edges of the armband have interwoven rows of reinforcement stitching and the reverse of the armband has a machine stitched, vertical seam.     SOLD Rare Original WWII Era German Model 1916 single  Decal Army (Herr) Transitional Named Helmet. Factory re-furbished construction German M16 helmet retains about 95% of its  field-grey over-paint. The left side of the helmet has an Wehrmacht eagle decal which is retained about 99% The two forward liner retaining rivets, both of the extended ventilation side lugs and both of the early chinstrap retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet has an M31 tan leather liner with the metal liner band ans all eight fingers still intact. An amazingly excellent condition liner.   Shows the expected age, but overall excellent condition. Nice helmet. The early large bolt German style helmets are scarce most of this type of transitional helmets seen are the Austrian versions. US. Veteran bring back, direct Veteran family purchase.     SOLD Original WWII German Scarce Waffen SS Collar Tab Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler’s obsession with pagan runic symbolism manifested itself in runic emblems used by the SS, Schutz Staffel, (Protection Squad), the most famous of which was the dual sig-runes used on the collar tabs and helmets decals of the SS. The dual sig-runes design was initiated by SS-Sturmhauptführer and graphic artist Walter Heck in May 1933. Right hand side, third and final pattern, (Circa 1940-1945), un-piped, black ribbed rayon construction collar tab with machine woven, (BeVo), SS runes in silvery/grey rayon threads. The collar tab is mounted on a buckram base.     Original WWII German Army RECRUITING PERSONNEL’S Arm Band Certified

    The Army Mobilization Order of March 12TH 1937, introduced a wide variety of armbands that were worn to identify personnel performing specific duties or functions for the Armed Forces. Most of the armbands were worn on the upper left sleeve of uniformed or non-uniformed personnel and were worn only while the individual was performing the specific duty or function identified by the armband. The "Wehrersatzdienststellen", (Military Recruiting Service Depot), armband was one of the armbands introduced with the Army Mobilization Order of March 12TH 1937 and was designed for wear by non-uniformed army recruiting personnel.   Roughly, 10cm tall, 36cm long, woven white cotton/rayon construction armband with a black, machine woven, Wehrmacht style eagle with down-swept wings to the obverse center.     The Army Mobilization Order of March 12TH 1937, introduced a wide variety of armbands that were worn to identify personnel performing specific duties or functions for the Armed Forces. As the war progressed it was deemed that additional armbands were necessary to identify the growing sector of non-uniformed, non-German civilian personnel serving in a military capacity with any branch of the armed forces. As a result assorted identifying armbands were introduced as required. This armband was introduced on October 1ST 1941 for wear by non-German civilians serving the Armed Forces and Russian Auxiliaries when not in uniform.  Roughly 40cm wide, 10.5cm tall, white cotton/rayon construction armband with black printed script to the obverse, "Im Dienst der Deutschen Wehrmacht".     Original WWII German Driver Proficiency Badge In Bronze Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran. A series of three Drivers Proficiency Badges in bronze, silver and gold were introduced on October 23RD 1942, with qualifications for award of the badges being retroactive to December 1ST 1940. The criteria for award of one of the badges varied with exceptional driving ability and vehicle maintenance being the main considerations. The badges were awarded to both Wehrmacht and civilian personnel who fulfilled the required criteria. When awarded the badge was worn on the lower left sleeve of the field blouse and service tunic. This example, in silver, is the second of the three grades. Stamped alloy badge with a silver wash. Round Pin Roughly, 31mm diameter, nicely convexed, die struck alloy brooch with a silver wash and black, white and red enameled finishes. The brooch features a black enameled circular outer border with embossed silver washed Gothic script, "Deutsches Rotes Kreuz Helferin", (German Red Cross Helper), encompassing a white enameled circular inner field with a central red enameled Greek style cross. Some loss to enamel (see photo). The solid reverse features embossed script, "Ges. Gesch"., indicating, Gesetzlich Geschützt.     Original WWII Period German Hitler Youth Members Arm Band Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran. The origins of the Hitler Jugend, (Hitler Youth), may be traced back to March 1922 with the formation of the Jugendbund der NSDAP. In 1933  regulations decreed the official pattern armband for wear by all HJ members. The armband was worn on the upper left sleeve on almost all uniforms of HJ members as organizational identifying insignia. A nice quality, 18cm x 11.5cm, three-piece construction, red cloth armband, with a central, 25mm wide, white horizontal stripe, with a white diamond with a stitched construction black mobile swastika.     Excellent Original WWII German Luftwaffe M-35 Ex Double Decal Helmet Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran

    Excellent Original WWII German Luftwaffe M-35 Ex Double Decal Helmet Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran. This helmet had a rare 1st pattern eagle but was sent to the factory for reissue. It was covered by a 2nd pattern eagle. Also had a tri-colored shield now covered. The sheet steel construction helmet retains about 87% of its smooth, Luftwaffe blue/grey paint. The left side of the helmet has a second pattern Luftwaffe eagle decal which is retained 65%. The right side is covered.  All three liner retaining rivets and both inset ventilation bushings are all intact. The interior of the helmet has a tan leather, M31 liner. All the liner fingers are complete. The reverse interior neck guard apron is serial number stamped, "3642" and the interior left side apron has stamped manufacturers code and size, "ET64", indicating manufacture by Eisen-und Hüttenwerke, AG Thale/Harz, size 64. Comes with original maker marked chinstrap dated 1938.
