Original WWII German Stretcher Bearer Arm Band Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. The Auxiliary Stretcher Bearer’s armband was worn by personnel assisting military Medical and/or Red Cross personnel in the execution of removing the wounded from the field roughly, 3 3/4″ tall, 15 1/2″ long, woven white rayon construction armband with black embroidered, Gothic script in two lines to the obverse, “Hilfs Krankenträger”, (Auxiliary Stretcher Bearer). The script is encompassed by a black embroidered, rectangular border. Both the top and bottom edges of the armband have a dual-ply, machine stitched, hem and the reverse has a central, machine stitched, vertical seam.  The armband is in overall very good condition with light age and usage toning.
