VERY RARE LARGE Original German NSDAP (NAZI PARTY) Schweinfurt Enamel Sign Certified. Enamel sign which once hung on the historic building known as “Café Beier.” The building dates back to around 1800 and is part of the old town area. • It functioned at various times as: • A hotel • A wine tavern (Ausschank von Wein und Bier) • The well-known Café Beier • Before World War II, it hosted clubs and associations. • During WWII, the vaulted cellar was used as an air-raid shelter. • After the war, the building was repurposed several times before falling into disuse. “In the Third Reich, the house served as a meeting place for National Socialists. The political role of the building is evident: above the entrance was an enamel sign with the swastika.” Schweinfurt is the city About 20×13.
