Original Third Reich German Hitler Youth H.J. FLAG POLE FINIAL. (Fahnenspitzen) Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. With the introduction of new Hitler Jugend, Deutsches Jungvolk, Bund Deutscher Mädel, and Jung Mädel flags and pennants in 1934, the pole tops were also standardized. This form of cast aluminum unsheathed bayonet finial may be seen surmounting the poles of both HJ-Gefolgschaft and DJ-Fahnlein (both company strength) flags. The finial is 36cm tall overall, with an offset, fullered blade, and a collar with a 30mm interior diameter. A hole is to either side of the collar the screw which would fix it to its pole. About 14″ long (RZM marked “M3/46” dated 1938 at the base. Scarce.   Nice example showing the expected minor age and wear overall good condition.
