Original RARE OUTSTANDING Adolf Hitler Volkskanzler / Deutschland Erwache Desk Sculpture Certified. Large early Adolf Hitler Volkskanzler / Deutschland Erwache desk sculpture. Incredibly rare piece measures nearly 9 inches tall and remains in untouched condition The front shows the side profile of Hitler and the back a heroic semi-nude male figure holding a staff topped with the swastika within a wreath. The figure symbolizes Germany’s rebirth and resurgence after the perceived humiliation of the Treaty of Versailles. The pose and composition draw on classical Greco-Roman artistic ideals, suggesting purity, strength, and awakening. The “Deutschland Erwache” motif was especially popular on SA standards, plaques, and sculptures symbolizing the awakening of the German nation under National Socialism. In very good condition.
