Exquisite Civil War Cased Ambrotype sixth plate Photograph Of A Union Infantry Soldier With Corporal Stripes Certified. The image was produced on clear glass and backed with black lacquer. A couple minor chips have flaked off but the lacquer remains intact with the exception of those minor chips. This image comes housed in a great original case that is in good used shape. The hinge tape was replaced at some point and the case is in working order.   The case will close shut. The  velvet cushion is imprinted with a  shaped design and is intact. The brass mat, keeper and glass are all intact as well. The Soldier is with a 9 button frock coat and forage cap.
