Original Double Barrel .46 caliber cap and ball Civil War period Antique Pistol In Working good condition Civil War period horse or belt pistol . There is no numbers so it is impossible to accurately date this one. Most likely late 1850’s.to 1860’s It is a deluxe engraved version with wood grips. the grips have small metal fancy tacks . This gun’s spring on both sides is tight and does work and does cock and fire. A very interesting double barrel gun. Even still has it’s wooden ramrod. the grips have some cracking but are very nice. Some age wear (see photos). The gun is about a .46 caliber. A choice fully functioning display pistol. Many Civil War soldiers carried private purchase “back up” weapons (see photos) . This gun is 100% guaranteed to be authentic, and unaltered. A fantastic functioning display piece. An excellent very large size and a real conversation piece.
