C.S. Waist Belt Plate

From 1861-1865 the Confederate States of America did its best to produce this design of waist belt plate for its soldiers.   They were not an item of issue to the Army of Northern Virginia, but had wide distribution in the Western Armies.   As a substitute, many Confederate soldiers wore the U.S. waist plate, wearing it upside down.

Waist Belt Plate replicas are made of lead-free materials and are Useable with modern belts.
