LARGE Original German NSDAP (NAZI PARTY) ‘Wohnung des Bürgermeisters’ Enamel Sign Certified. ‘Wohnung des Bürgermeisters’ Enamel Sign. ‘Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei’ (NSDAP) Enamel Sign (Emailleschild) ‘Wohnung des Bürgermeisters’ (Home of the Mayor). This white rectangular vaulted wall plaque (Hoheitsschild) would be mounted on the wall next to the entrance door of the house of the mayor. The shield is showing a political style eagle above the script “Wohnung des Bürgermeisters”. The enamel is showing clear traces of usage and some damages which have been repaired/repainted, see photos. The complete sign is covered in a thick yellow layer of nicotine caused by a smoking household, it doesn’t smell and gives it a nice patina, if wished it can be cleaned and removed but that will be up to the buyer. The sign is not visible maker marked. The sign is measuring approximately 40 x 30 cms.
