Two different WWII German hat eagles one Air-force (Luftwaffe) and one navy (Kreigsmarine). Air-force is Nicely detailed die struck, zinc construction, second pattern, (Circa 1936/1937-1945), Luftwaffe eagle with out-stretched wings, clutching a canted swastika in one talon. The reverse of the eagle has both attachment prongs intact. Navy Die stamped, aluminum construction, national eagle with a faded gold gilt wash features out-stretched wings and is clutching a wreathed, canted, swastika in it’s talons. The eagle has a roughly, 65mm wingspan from wing tip to wing tip. The hollow reverse of the eagle has all three prongs. . Brought home by a U.S. Veteran as a war trophy. 2 honest untouched U.S. Veteran bring back German hat eagles . Gettysburg Museum Certified (COA) provided.
