OUTSTANDING ! WWII German Army Single Decal M-40 Combat Helmet Certified. The stamped, sheet steel construction helmet retains about most of its rough texture field-grey paint. The left side of the helmet has a Wehrmacht eagle shield decal which is retained about 99%. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet has a M31 leather liner with all eight fingers. Original tie-string. This liner is in absolutely OUTSTANDING condition! The interior reverse neck guard apron is lot number stamped, “295”, and the interior left side apron is stamped with the manufacturers code and size, “Q 64”, manufacture by F.W. Quist, G.m.b.H. Esslingen, size 64. Original uncut chinstrap is intact with manufacture stamp (see photos). VERY RARE! . An outstanding WWII U.S. Veteran bring back helmet.
