Are the Civil War relics for sale here real and authentic?
Yes. We carry only authentic Civil War artifacts, all authenticated by the Gettysburg Museum of History, and every relic the museum sells is guaranteed to be 100% authentic. Our founder and curator, Erik L. Dorr, has been featured on many television shows appraising, buying and selling historical artifacts. The museum is one of the most trusted names in historic artifacts, and money raised from sales helps maintain it.
What comes with an authentic Civil War relic or collector set?
Museum documentation comes with every Civil War artifact and relic we sell: a document verifying the item's authenticity. Collector sets come with a museum certificate of authenticity (COA). One glass-case set has an identification label and side pins that can be removed to take the bullets out for examination, and the bullet teaching set includes a book on the seven types of bullets.
What kinds of Civil War items can I buy, and do they make good gifts?

Who buys Civil War artifacts, and where can I sell, donate or loan mine?
The museum buys and sells historical artifacts to keep admission free, and it is actively acquiring artifacts for exhibition. If you own a very special relic from the American Civil War, you can loan it so others can enjoy and learn from it, or donate it so it stays in exhibition for public education. Choose Loan, Donate or Sell on our Buying, Donating and Loaning to the Museum page to tell us about your piece.
How do you ship Civil War relics, and can I pick up or see them at the museum?
Orders ship by USPS Priority Mail within the United States to the billing address, usually in 3 to 5 days, and an email with tracking information follows. Local Pick-Up is offered during open hours, and details are in our shipping policy. Find us at 219 Baltimore St, Gettysburg, PA 17325, Wednesday to Sunday, 11am to 5pm, with free admission.
