An outstanding 2 page handwritten letter from Gettysburg Attorney David Wills in fountain ink with bold signature. The letter has legal content (see photos) and Will's letterhead dated 1891. The letter is accompanied by it's original mailing envelope. Gettysburg Lawyer David Wills was reasonable for spearheading the Gettysburg National Cemetery project after the battle of Gettysburg. he was a personal friend of Abraham Lincoln and invited Lincoln to speak at the cemeteries  dedication ceremony. Lincoln stayed in David Wills Gettysburg home when he visited while there Lincoln put the finishing touches on his Gettysburg address that become the most famous and loved speeches in American history.
