    SOLD Original WWII German Luftwaffe Ground Combat Badge Bought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. Late war, single piece, injection molded alloy construction, solid backed badge is in the form of a vertically oval, oak-leaf wreath with a Luftwaffe style eagle, clutching a canted swastika in one talon, superimposed to the top center, encompassing a cut-out, dark, burnished matte grey washed cloud and downward striking, blitz style, lightning bolt. The solid reverse has an integral, molded hinge, a thin round vertical pin and an integral, molded, heavy catch all intact. The badge has no visible manufacturer’s markings, however this example is attributed to Anro Walpach. A real combat award for combat ground service.     SOLD Original WWII German Early Fire Helmet Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. Original era manufacture. Satin black finished aluminum helmet with a bright aluminum comb. The liner and chinstrap are complete and very pliable, with its white cotton cord draw sting. Thick, stiff pigskin leather neck protector mounted to the leather tabs on the rim of the liner. Early pattern decals of a canted tri-color shield, and white swastika. The helmet displays some light scattered denting and minor paint loss but overall displays very well. Nice used example showing the expected but minimal age and wear.   • Original WWII German LUFTSCHUTZ BEADED M35 HELMET Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran

    SOLD Original WWII German LUFTSCHUTZ BEADED M35 HELMET Brought Home By A U.S. Stamped sheet steel construction, M35 style helmet with the addition of an embossed horizontal "bead" positioned at the apex of the front and rear visors and crown. The helmet retains about 94% of its original dark blue satin finish. The front center of the helmet has a Luftschutz emblem decal in place. The black detailed, silver decal features stylized spread wings with a central oak-leaf sprig and a canted swastika positioned below a scripted banner, "Luftschutz". The decal is retained about 92%. All three liner retaining rivets and both inset ventilation bushings are all intact. The interior of the helmet has a tan leather construction, nine finger liner.     SOLD Original WWII German Luftwaffe CIVILIAN TECHNICIAN OF THE CHIEF OF SUPPLY & PROCUREMENT SERVICE BREAST BADGE The Luftwaffe pattern national eagle was originally introduced for wear by Fliegerschaft, (Pilot Base), personnel of the DLV, Deutscher Luftsportsverband The insignia consists of a woven, golden yellow, inverted triangular, cotton base with a machine embroidered Luftwaffe style eagle in flight, clutching a canted swastika in one talon, superimposed on a multi-cogged, gear wheel and flanked by the initials, "G" and "L" indicating, General Luftzeugamt, (General Aviation Ordnance/Supply Office), all in black rayon threads. The eagle is very similar to the standard Luftwaffe eagle but is facing to its right as opposed to its left. The golden yellow cotton base also has a fine, machine embroidered, black rayon stripe positioned near the outer edges.     Fantastic WWII German Luftwaffe M-40 Factory Re-issue Single Decal Helmet With U.S. Veteran Provenance

    Fantastic WWII German Luftwaffe M-40 Factory Re-issue Single Decal Helmet With U.S. Veteran Provenance. The stamped, sheet steel construction helmet retains about 95% of its  rough textured, field-grey over-paint with a few scrapes and scuffs to the original, underlying Luftwaffe blue/grey paint and the base steel with minor surface spotting. The left side of the helmet has a Luftwaffe eagle decal which has been scratched during storage (see photos) .   All three liner retaining rivets are intact and tight. The interior of the helmet has an almost mint light  tan,  leather liner with all eight of its fingers and the original tie string intact. The liner shows only storage wear to the edges, light age and  toning. The liner has a dark black size ink stamp. This helmet was sent back to the factory and re-issued with a rough texture overpaint. It was never used after going back to the factory. there is even one of the vent holes in the liner still retaining one of the pre-punched holes in the leather. This helmet was brought home by U.S. Army Airforce Sgt. John Deere of the 100th Bomb Group 8th Air-force. Deere was shot down during a bombing run and was captured toward the end of the war. He did however mange to get this helmet after his release. His story is documented in the book "Heroes Next Door" (see photo). Besides the scrapes on the decal this helmet is about as close to mint un-issued as you can get. 100% guaranteed to be authentic Museum documentation (COA) included.
