Massive Original Adolf Hitler Turkey Platter Tray By Wellner Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. Extremely Rare Adolf Hitler’s Personal Silver Extra Large Tray Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. . The largest of the Adolf Hitler service silver is the “Turkey Platter”. Made by Wellner with their name stamped and the number 120 that is the code for the turkey plstter.  Most items that service items were recovered at The Berghof (Hitler’s Home) and the Eagle's Nest at Obersalzberg near Berchtesgaden. The silver tray has an engraved Hitler National Eagle with a Wreath Swastika and Hitler’s personal “AH” monogram.  This is in fact one of the the rare and the most desirable and certainly the largest of all Hitler silver items. This was recovered most likely from the Berghof  or Eagle's Nest by a U.S. soldier in May of 1945.  It is in our opinion the largest   and one of the most collectible of the Hitler silver. This huge tray is in good used condition some scratches and smudges. Also note there is some cut marks where someone "Trimmed the Turkey" (see photos). This tray has all the correct maker marks and hallmarks for the piece. The outside surface is bright and polished the back has some tarnishing that could be polished if the new owner desires.  Adolf Hitler Silver was the most desirable of all war trophies. SOLD Original WWII German Navy (Kreigsmarine) White/Blue Breast Eagle Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. The Kriegsmarine’s version of the national eagle was identical to the army version except for the coloration with the army utilizing silver, white and grey eagles while the Kriegsmarine utilized golden yellow eagles. Of Note: The only exceptions in the coloration of the Kriegsmarine eagles was that personnel serving in the Administrative branch utilized a silver eagle while eagles worn on the white jumper shirts were in cornflower blue. Due to the silver insignia the Administrative personnel were contemptuously referred to as Silberlinge, (Silvered Ones). This is a rare example of the Blue on White version. Original WWII German FOUR YEAR LONG SERVICE MEDAL. (Wehrmacht-Dienstauszeichnungen) Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. Roughly, 31mm diameter, silver washed, die struck, magnetic sheet metal construction, fourth class award for four years service features an embossed Wehrmacht, (Armed Forces), style eagle with down swept wings, clutching a canted, swastika in it’s talons, encompassed by Gothic script, "Treue Dienste in der Wehrmacht" (Loyal Service in the Armed Forces), on a smooth background field to the obverse. The reverse has a large embossed numeral, "4" to the center encompassed by an embossed, circular, oak-leaf wreath. SOLD Original WWII German K98 COMBAT BAYONET WITH Leather FROG Maker Marked Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. The K98 bayonet was a modification of the already modified S84/98 bayonet that had been originally developed in 1915. Manufacture of this new modified bayonet began in 1934 with mass production beginning in 1936. The K98 bayonet was a standard issue item and was accompanied by a bayonet frog to be worn on the reverse left side of the weight bearing waist belt. The K98 bayonet remained the standard issue bayonet through-out the war with minor manufacturing variations. Roughly 25cm long, drop forged, steel construction blade with wide fullers. Blade retains almost all of it's original blueing. Very scarce example manufactured by Cooppel G.m.b.H.  Wooden grips Scabbard has mismatched serial number and a few use dents (see photos). Exceedingly Rare WWII German Airplane Tail Insignia Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. A large section 18"/19" of the tail of a German aircraft, most likely a glider made of aircraft thin canvas. It has a bright bold National emblem of the NSDAP (Nazi Party). SOLD Original WWII German LUFTSCHUTZ BEADED M38 GLADIATOR HELMET. (Stahlhelm M38) Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. The three piece, stamped, sheet steel construction Luftschutz M38 "Gladiator" style helmet retains a most of its original, smooth, dark satin blue paint. The front center of the helmet has a Luftschutz emblem decal. The black detailed, silver decal features stylized spread wings with a central oak-leaf sprig and a canted swastika positioned below a scripted banner, "Luftschutz". The helmet has two groups of seven "salt & pepper" ventilation holes to either side of the crown. All three of the small, flat headed, liner retaining rivets are intact. The helmet has an embossed, horizontal, beaded rim between the crown and the visor/neck guard. The visor/neck guard has a semi-circular "ear" cut-out and a brazed vertical seam to either side. original liner and chinstrap. Size marked 54. SOLD Original WWII German RAD Officer's Belt Buckle By Assmann Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. The basis of the RAD, Reichsarbeitsdienst, (National Labor Service), dates back, at least, to 1929 with the formation of the AAD (Anhalt Arbeitsdienst) and the FAD-B (Freiwillingen Arbeitsdienst-Bayern), Shortly after Hitler’s appointment as Chancellor, (January 1933) the NSDAP consolidated these, and other labor organizations into the NSAD (Nationalsozialist Arbeitsdienst), a national labor service. On June 26TH 1935 the NSAD was re-designated RAD. Originally personnel serving with RAD wore a variety of earlier FAD/NSAD belt buckles until February 15TH 1936 when new pattern belt buckles for Officer’s and EM/NCO’s were introduced to provided uniformity in dress. Stamped, two piece, matte aluminum, 48mm diameter, circular belt buckle features five, highly embossed sheaf's of wheat encompassing an embossed inverted spade head with high relief canted swastika on a subtlety textured, domed central field. Reverse of buckle has crimped outer edges and a separate circular plate insert with crimped catch and retaining hook. Circular plate is secured to the buckle by crimped edges to the reverse of the domed centerpiece. Nicely marked Assmann production example.  In very good condition. SOLD Outstanding (almost mint) Original WWII German SA (Hitler's Brown Shirts) Belt Buckle Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. The SA, meant "Sturmabteilung" (Storm-troops), Brown Shirts. The 65mm x 50mm, slightly convex, stamped brass, two-piece construction buckle features, to its obverse, a plain field upon which is an embossed, political-style national eagle clutching the laurel surround to a mobile swastika on a slightly domed, plain field. The eagle’s head falls on the inside of a ribbed border with simulated twisted rope trim to its inner and outer edges. The ribbed border, which is 42mm in outside diameter, has a spray of oak leaves to its base, with the eagle’s wings extending into it at the top. SOLD Exceedingly Rare German Document Signed (Autographed) By Hitler, And Blomberg Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History And 3rd Party Certification. This RARE document appoints German Army Officer Karl Heinrich Georg Ferdinand Kreipe  who was abducted by British and Greek agents during WWII. You wanted the best, we give you the best! Mega Rare! Investment quality. Original signatures of Adolf Hitler,  and Werner von Blomberg on a certificate of appointment  with very nice ink signatures by "Adolf Hitler"  and "v.Blomberg" as countersigner. The  sheet is unfolded,  in very good condition. As commander of Infantry Regiment 909 of the 58th Infantry Division, Kreipe participated in the Battle of France and the drive towards Leningrad and fighting in Kuban during Operation Barbarossa. He was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on 13 October 1941. Kreipe remained on the Leningrad front until May 1942, when he was transferred back to Germany, where he took up administrative and teaching positions. In June–October 1943, he was returned to the Eastern Front, where he led the 79th Infantry Division. On 1 March 1944, Kreipe was appointed Commander of the 22nd Air Landing Infantry Division, operating on Crete, replacing General Friedrich-Wilhelm Müller, who had been made the German commander of Crete in Chania.  In the spring of 1944 the Allies hatched a plan to kidnap General Müller, whose harsh repressive measures had earned him the nickname "the Butcher of Crete". Major Patrick Leigh Fermor led the planned operation, assisted by Captain Bill Stanley Moss, Greek SOE agents and Cretan resistance fighters. However General Müller left the island before the plan could be executed. Major Leigh Fermor decided to abduct Kreipe instead. On the night of 26 April 1944 General Kreipe left headquarters in Archanes. The car headed without escort to a well-guarded residence, "Villa Ariadni", about 5 km outside Heraklion. Major Leigh Fermor and Captain Moss, dressed as German military policemen, waited for him 1 km before his residence. When he arrived, they asked the driver to stop and asked for their papers. As soon as the car stopped, Leigh Fermor opened Kreipe's door, jumped in, and threatened him with his pistol, while Moss took the driver's seat. (The abduction is now commemorated near Archanes.)  Moss drove the kidnappers and the General for an hour and a half through 22 controlled road-blocks in Heraklion, before leaving Leigh Fermor to drive on and abandon the car, with material being planted that suggested their escape from the island had been made by submarine. Moss set off with the General on a cross-country march, supported by the Greek resistance, soon rejoined by Leigh Fermor. Hunted by German patrols, the kidnappers crossed the mountains to reach the southern side of the island, where a British Motor Launch (ML 842 commanded by Brian Coleman) was waiting to rendez-vous. Eventually, on 14 May 1944, they were picked up from Peristeres beach near Rhodakino and ferried to Egypt.Kreipe was interrogated, then sent to a POW camp in Canada. Later transferred to a special camp in Wales,Kreipe was finally released from British captivity in 1947. General Kreipe met his kidnappers one more time in 1972 on a Greek television programme.He died at Northeim on 14 June 1976. SOLD Original WWII German 1935 NSDAP NATIONAL SEA TRAVEL DAY, COMMEMORATIVE BADGE. (Erinnerungsabzeichen) Broght Home By A U.S. Veteran. An injection molded aluminum badge roughly in the form of a horizontal oval, 42mm across. To its top is a soaring eagle clutching a wreathed, mobile swastika in its talons. To either side of the swastika is scrolled "Seefahrt" (Seafaring) and "Ist Not" (Is Necessary). The base of an anchor may be seen to the base of the surround, with "Tag Der Deutschen" (Day Of German) and "Seefahrt 25.26.5.1935" (Seafaring 25.26.5.1935) scrolled to either side. The central image on the badge is that of a three-quarter profiled, three-mast sailing vessel, under sail on rough seas. To the reverse is crimped a horizontal pin-back device, beneath which is embossed the manufacturer’s mark. SOLD Original WWII German Hitler Youth HJ PROFICIENCY BADGE IN SILVER. (Leistungsabzeichen der HJ). The Leistungsabzeichen der HJ, (Proficiency Badge of the HJ), was instituted as the first Hitler Youth award by Reichsjugendführer Baldur von Schirach on May 1ST 1934 as an incentive for HJ members to increase their proficiency in military oriented athletics, academics, field exercises, and shooting. The badge was established in three grades of Silver, Bronze and Iron. The stamped, polished alloy award is in the form of a Tyr-rune with a circle superimposed to it, upon which is embossed, in runic script, "Für Leistungen In Der H.J." (For Proficiency In The H.J.), encompassing a mobile swastika. To the reverse is a raised RZM mark, "M1/63" indicating manufacture by Steinhauer & Lück-Lüdenscheid. The pin-back device is intact. SOLD Original WWII Era German Der Stahlhem (The Steel Helmet) Lapel Pin Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified.  A stamped, nickel-silver alloy pin, 3cm wide, in the form of a profiled M16 helmet, above whose chin strap rivet is stamped an Iron Cross followed by "Der Stahlhelm" in Gothic script. The recessed Iron Cross (which establishes the pin as that worn by front soldiers and Free Corps combatants from 1929 to 1933) and lettering have been darkened in a way that highlight them. To the base of the helmet is stamped the maker’s initials. SOLD   Hitler's Mistress Eva Braun's Personally Owen Handkerchief Taken From The Berghof By A U.S. Veteran Certified. This was part of the great Russel Dysert grouping of items he took from the tunnel under Hitler's home the Berghof. Sgt Dysert was part of the 3rd Infantry Division and was among the very first US troops the enter the Berghof. He took several items including Hitler's silver, linens,even one of Hitler's pistols  and some Eva Braun items. Mega Rare Authentic Waffen SS Tropical Helmet Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. Excellent example is in very good condition, with all components intact. The original khaki cloth covering is intact and retains its original color well but does show staining from use and age. The helmet band, is in excellent condition, and still completely hides the liner rivets.  The leather rim is mostly intact, with some small tears, but retains the original grey finish. The interior of the helmet still has the original red cotton lining with minimal fading but shows dirt and age staining. The sweatband is in excellent soft and supple condition. The felt padding and fiber band are still in good condition. The underside of the leather sweatband is marked with size 56, a 1941 date and manufacturer stamp. The SS and National Flag shields are zinc and both have the maker JFS 43 on the reverse. This is the proper maker for SS shields. These shields have ALWAYS been on this helmet. The U.S. Veteran that brought the helmet home wrote his Laundry number on the inside of the helmet. An exceedingly rare helmet! Rarely do authentic versions of these come up for sale. Pulled out of a 40 year collection and was a direct Vet purchase by them. SOLD Papers Please! Original WWII Era German Document And Badge  Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. Nazi German association membership badge for a member of the Reichsbund deutscher Kleingartner (German State Association for Gardeners) as manufactured by Frank & Reif of Stuttgart in the 1930s. The oval portion of the badge measures about 3/4 x 1 inch and is made of silver plated copper filled with dark green cloisonné. Applied to the face of the badge is a slightly wider eagle, apparently made of silver, with a swastika on its chest. There is a high quality vertical safety pin on the back. Complete with his licence for operating a garden, yes in Nazi Germany you needed a licence to do everything and anything! These gardens were encouraged and rewarded growing food for the war effort.  Nice complete example. SOLD Original WWII Waffen SS Bevo "Tropical"  Sleeve Eagle Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. The Allgemeine-SS, (General-SS), was originally formed in May 1923 as the Stosstrupp Adolf Hitler (Shock Troops Adolf Hitler), and was redesignated Schutzstaffel, (Protection Squad), in April 1925 with the official acceptance of the name verified on the second anniversary of the failed Munich "Beer-Hall" Putsch on November 9TH 1925. On January 6TH 1929 Heinrich Himmler was appointed as Reichsführer-SS, (National Leader of the SS). SOLD Adolf Hitler's Personal Formal Large Fork "Liberated" From The Brown House/Fuhrerbau In Munich By A U.S. Solider Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. A silver Hitler large table fork. This fork has Hitler's personal national eagle with his "AH" monogram. It has all the proper hallmarks on the back (see photos). This 10"" knife is from "The Hitler Personal Formal Pattern" It is the most fancy and most desirable of all the Hitler silver sets. This piece was brought home along with several other pieces by U.S. Officer Captian Herman E. Wilkenson  of the 11th Field Hospital attached to the  42nd Division (see his notarized letter). The 42nd Division was among the first U.S. troops to enter Munich and they captured the Fuhrerbau and BrownHouse. The BrownHouse was bombed but Hitler's silver was kept in the basement and was unharmed! The Veteran calls it "Nazi Headquarters" but we are sure it was the basement of the BrownHouse! They kept food and kitchen and serving items there too!
