    SOLD   Original Civil War Period Cap And Ball .45 Caliber Antique Horse  Pistol Certified. Civil War Period .45 caliber Cap And Ball  Pistol. In Working  condition Civil War period  horse model  pistol . There is  no  numbers so it is impossible to accurately date this one. It is a standard  version with plain wood grips. It has some scroll work on the brass side plate (see photos)  This gun's spring is very tight and solid  it does work and does  fire and cock. . It does have some mild surface patina and slight pitting around the percussion cap area.  (see photos). the grips are very nice.  Still has the original wooden ram rod (see photos). A classic Civil War period horse pistol and A choice functioning display gun. This is an excellent looking gun and a very nice size. A real statement piece!  A favorite of both Confederate and Union soldiers during the Civil War. Many Civil War soldiers carried private purchase “back up” weapons as illustrated in the photo above.     SOLD Civil War Period 5 shot  .36 Caliber  Cap And Ball  Whitney Antique Revolver  Pistol. In Working  condition Civil War period pocket model  pistol . There is  no  numbers so it is impossible to accurately date this one but the approximate date is 1860. It is a standard  version with plain wood grips.   This gun's spring is very tight and  does work and does  fire and it does cock. it is the first model that was scarce and quickly replaced by the 2nd model with loading lever . In good condition, nice look and  the grips are very nice. The gun  is .36 caliber 5 shot revolver. A classic Civil War pistol and A choice functioning display gun. In Working  condition Civil War period "Boot"  model  pistol . There is  no  numbers so it is impossible to accurately date this one. It is a standard  version with checkered wood grips. It has some scroll work on the side plate (see photos)  This gun's spring is a bit loose but it  does work and does  fire and cock. It has a drop trigger system. It does have some mild surface patina but not pitting  (see photos). the grips are worn but nice and there is a very interesting period repair made from coin silver (see photos). The barrel unscrews to load see photos.    The gun  is whopping .61 caliber. A classic Civil War period pistol and A choice functioning display gun. This is one of the largest caliber pistol of this type we ever saw.  A real statement piece!
