    Original WWII Era German DRL Sports Badge In Bronze Maker Marked Worn by SS, SA, and all branches, Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. Originally introduced in 1913 as the DRA badge, this was modified in 1933 to the DRL badge and again in 1937 with the addition of the swastika. The award was intended as an incentive for physical training, and was issued to both males and females between 18 and 32 years old who met the required criteria for an eight year period, or those between the ages of 32 to 40 who met the criteria over a twelve month period. A 1937 pattern, die struck bronze award. The badge is in the form of a vertical oval oak leaf wreath, with a mobile swastika and bow to its base, encompassing the stylized, cut-out letters, "DRL." To the reverse is a vertical pin-back device, hinged to its top and with a catch to its base. Embossed to the left of the reverse is "D.R.G.M. 35269" ("Deutsche Reichs Gebrauchsmuster," or, German National Registered-design 35269), and "Wernstein Jena" is to the right. This medal has an unusual feature, the initials of the recipient is engraved into the back "WG" (see photos).  Excellent condition  with some storage age and expected issues.     SOLD Original WWII Era German Hitler Youth Event Sports Badge 1935 Certified. The 25mm tall, aluminum award pin is roughly in the form of a vertical oval. The HJ diamond with swastika is to the center of the pin with a wreath of oak leaves arching upward from the base where a rectangle with a "1935" date may be seen. This first pattern pin was awarded in 1935 only. To the reverse is crimped a vertical pin-back device. Maker marked.     SOLD Original WWII German DAF "Deutsche Arbeitsfront" (German Labour-front) Wall Plaque Certified. The "Deutsche Arbeitsfront" (German Labour-front), originally founded in 1933, became an official NSDAP organization in October 1934. Its stated purpose was to educate the workers in industry and commerce in furtherance of the smooth and efficient operation of all labour in the Third Reich. It also controlled the KdF, "Kraft durch Freude" (Strength through Joy), organization which provided recreation for workers. However, DAF’s most important goal was to enforce the political stability of the large mass of work force. A cast aluminum plaque in the form of the DAF emblem; being a cut-out, mobile swastika within a fourteen-toothed cog, 20cm in diameter. Where the cog is smooth, the swastika has raised edges within which are painted black.     SOLD Original German Mother's Cross Ehrenkreuz der Deutschen Mutter In Silver. The Mother’s Cross was introduced by Adolf Hitler on December 16TH 1938 as part of a large propaganda campaign aimed at increasing the birth rate. The award was officially designated, Honor Cross of the German Mother, and was instituted in three grades to recognize and reward child bearing German females. The three grades consisted of the bronze cross for bearing four or five children, the silver cross for bearing six or seven children and the gold cross for bearing eight or more children. Criteria for the award included that the parents be of pure German blood, and that the mother was worthy of such an honor. two piece, stamped tombac award with a bronze wash and blue and white enamel work. Award in the form of a Christian cross with outward fluted arms in semi-translucent blue enamel with white enamel border. Cross has a raised sunburst pattern emanating between its arms. Separate central circular field with white enamel base and black static swastika, encompassed by a circular border with embossed Latin script, "Der Deutschen Mutter", (The German Mother). Reverse has impressed simulated handwritten script, "16 December 1938", and facsimile Hitler signature.  Section of original ribbon is also included. Excellent condition (almost mint this is the best condition silver cross we have seen!  The cross is accompanied by it's original issue document signed by Adolf Hitler! Hitler did not sign these documents in person but the signature looks to be made in fountain ink not a stamp so it is most likely made by a secretary. The document has an embossed Nazi party eagle, it is in good but worn condition (see photos) with some storage wear and bends.
