Matted and framed with a Riker frame. Mat color may vary. This relic is certified by The Gettysburg Museum of History. The bullet was recovered before Gettysburg was a National Park and is 100% legal to own. Museum documentation (COA) included. Certified by The Gettysburg Museum of History. The wood comes from the original witness tree. A “Witness Tree”  is a tree that was standing during the battle of Gettysburg. This tree can be seen in many of the early photos of Lee’s H.Q.  This piece of witness wood was obtained by The Gettysburg Museum of History  from the former owners of the property. The tree was cut down in the 1960’s. An amazing historic relic from one of Gettysburg’s most iconic spots. The bullet in this display was found on Seminary Ridge. The Thompson house is on Seminary Ridge. A fantastic set for the Civil War enthusiast and a great gift idea. A nice size 8″/12″ is the overall size of the glass case. A certified authentic bullet from the Gettysburg Battlefield found at the world famous Thompson House better known as General Lee’s Headquarters historic 3 ring  Civil War bullet recovered near the house (Seminary Ridge).   This area is considered one of the most historic spots of The Battle of Gettysburg. The bullet you receive will not be the exact same one in the photo. most from this area will be fired, some are dropped like shown. We will pick the best one from our inventory. All Gettysburg relics were obtained before it was national Park and are 100% legal to own. There will be no more bullets or relics from this area because relic hunting is now prohibited. Lee's Headquarters when the bullet was found was private property but in recent years it was bought by The Civil Trust and will become part of the  Gettysburg National Military Park and no more relics will ever come from this area making this very rare. Comes museum documentation (COA). One side has the location and museum number one side is plain as shown in photo. Documented authentic bullets from Lee's Headquarters are rare! Very limited supply.     Original Gettysburg Battlefield Witness Wood From General Lee's Headquarters. A nice piece of wood from the tree that grew next to General Lee's Headquarters known as the General Lee Witness Tree. These were cut in the 1950's when the tree went down to sell at the Museum shop at Lee's Headquarters. Some are stamped some are not. We bought them directly from the former owners of Lee's Headquarters. Lee's Headquarters has now been purchased by the Civil War Trust and will be donated back the The Gettysburg National Military Park making this a unique and rare artifact.  A “Witness Tree” was one that was there and standing during the battle.  Certified by The Gettysburg Museum of History.
