Original Rare WWII German ORDER OF THE GERMAN EAGLE MEDAL OF MERIT Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. The Series of the Order of the German Eagle was originally instituted by Hitler on May 1ST 1937, in varying degrees for award to foreign political dignitaries. The award was modified and other "degrees" were added in 1939, and again in 1943. The last version of these awards were designated "class" instead of "degree". Also in 1939 crossed swords were added to the award when it was to be issued to personnel who had displayed distinguished military merit. 1943 pattern. Roughly 39mm diameter, die struck zinc award. The obverse of the award features an embossed Maltese style cross with national eagles, with downs wept wings, clutching a canted, wreathed swastika, between the cross’s arms on a smooth background field with a raised outer edge. The reverse has embossed script "Deutsche Verdienst-Medaille", (German Merit-Medal), on a smooth background field with a raised outer edge. Complete with original ribbon and pin back device. SOLD Original WWII German DEUTSCHE WEHRMACHT  Armband Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. The Army Mobilization Order of March 12TH 1937, introduced a wide variety of armbands that were worn to identify personnel performing specific duties or functions for the Armed Forces. Most of the armbands were worn on the upper left sleeve of uniformed or non-uniformed personnel and were worn only while the individual was performing the specific duty or function identified by the armband. The "Deutsche Wehrmacht", (German Armed Forces), armband was one of the armbands introduced with the Army Mobilization Order of March 12TH 1937 and was designed for wear by non-uniformed personnel serving with the Armed Forces. Of Note: New regulations of October 1ST 1941 restricted wear of this armband to non-uniformed non-combatant personnel.  Roughly, 10.5cm tall, 36cm long, woven, yellow cotton construction armband with machine woven, black, Gothic script in two lines to the obverse, "Deutsche Wehrmacht", (German Armed Forces). The top and bottom edges of the armband have interwoven rows of reinforcement stitching.  In good worn condition some storage wear good colors. Uniform removed. The background field of both the obverse and reverse centerpieces is smooth while the arms of the cross have a pebbled background field with raised, smooth, outer edges. SOLD Original WWII Waffen SS Collar Tab Cut Off and  Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. The Allgemeine-SS, (General-SS), was originally formed in May 1923 as the Stosstrupp Adolf Hitler (Shock Troops Adolf Hitler), and was redesignated Schutzstaffel, (Protection Squad), in April 1925 with the official acceptance of the name verified on the second anniversary of the failed Munich "Beer-Hall" Putsch on November 9TH 1925. On January 6TH 1929 Heinrich Himmler was appointed as Reichsführer-SS, (National Leader of the SS). A fantastic 100% authentic Waffen SS  Right hand side, third and final pattern, (Circa 1940-1945), un-piped, black ribbed rayon construction collar tab with machine woven, (BeVo), SS runes in silvery/grey rayon threads. The collar tab is mounted on a buckram base. Of Note: This style of collar tab was generally worn by the ranks of SS-Schütze to SS-Untersturmführer inclusively. Removed from a uniform. Original WWII German 40 Year FAITHFUL SERVICE Medal Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. On January 30th, 1938, Hitler instituted the Faithful Service Decoration, in three classes, to recognize long-serving civil servants and public works personnel. The decorations were intended to be an incentive for the civilian population to foster workplace loyalty and create a stable civil service. A second class, die struck alloy decoration with gold wash  plated highlights, a frosted gold finish and a black enamel swastika. The decoration is in the form of a cross Pattée with a circular oak-leaf wreath extending between the arms of the cross. The center of the cross has a square plate with a black enameled static swastika to the obverse, and the embossed Gothic script to the reverse, "Für treue Dienste" (For Loyal Service). The arms of the cross have a slightly textured background field with a smooth, dual stepped, raised outer edge. Complete with original ribbon. SOLD Original WWII Era German SS Dagger Made By Rich Abr. Herder  brought home By A U.S. Veteran Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. Early Model 1933 Enlisted Man's SS Dagger. This dagger has the SS number 104575 stamped into the dagger and scabbard. The earlier ones had the SS man's SS number making identification possible. This dagger belonged to SS-Sturmmann Viktor Stroh and we included his research file (see photos). This fine and most desirable dagger has the Rich Abr. Herder name and all of the classic qualities associated with this respected producer. This is an untouched un-messed with U.S. Vet bring back. The ebony handle is nice a with some minor wear. The top screw has only minor surface scratching and looks like it was never taken apart, this grip fits like a  glove. The SS runes button has a couple of minor blemishes in the enamel surface, but there is no enamel missing. The silver SS runes are in good condition with their accompanying dual circles around them. The nickel grip eagle is nice There is minor wear to the breast feathering, but the bird's head, wing feathering, talons, wreath and swastika remain crisp. The scabbard is straight throughout, having slight loss of the anodized surfaces. The  only real issue with this dagger is the blade has some scratching (see photos)  the Vet cleaned it or sharpened it  a real shame but make this otherwise very expensive dagger a real bargain.  The scabbard mounts are matching nickel. They are in fine condition  The original nickel screws are all present (see photos). The blade is in good untouched condition  It is bright and has some of its crossgrain. The SS motto is deeply etched and nice. Beneath is the factory name and location, "Rich Abr. Herder Solingen". The blade shoulders perfectly meet the lower crossguard. very early pre-RZM. Due to the minor condition issues is very affordable and 100% Guaranteed to be authentic and un-repaired just as it came back from Germany in 1945.  Excellent  used example showing the expected  age and wear.
