AMAZING 2.5x Life-size Adolf Hitler Bronze Bust Commissioned for ‘The Brown House’ by Lothar Dietz The ultimate Hitler bust! Not only is this bronze bust of Hitler the largest we’ve seen in private hands, it was specifically cast for display in ‘The Brown House’. The Brown House (German: Braunes Haus) was the name given to the Munich mansion located between the Karolinenplatz and Königsplatz, known before as the Palais Barlow, which was purchased in 1930 for the Nazis. They converted the structure into the headquarters of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei; NSDAP). Its name comes from early Nazi Party uniforms, which were brown. Many leading Nazis, including Adolf Hitler, maintained offices there throughout the party’s existence. It was destroyed by Allied bombing raids during World War Il. The bust comes with a letter dated November 1982 from the longtime owner of the foundry and states that he only cast one Hitler bust for Lothar Dietz and it was a special order for the Brown House in the 1930’s. The letter to “X” we assume is the U.S. Veteran who brought it home but we don’t know his name. We assume he must have in the 42nd or 45th Divisions since they were first into Munich in 1945. The Brown House was bombed but not completely  destroyed and many items were found in the basement. We place a visor cap on the head of the bust for a size comparison. This is the best and most historically important Adolf Hitler bust we have seen.  MASSIVE  22″ high with base VERY HEAVY 62 pounds! ! A very nice looking artifact.  In very good condition.
