Original WWII German Combat Used M34 Army (Heer) Overseas Cap Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran. Field-grey wool/rayon blend construction cap with fold down side and back panels with gently sloping, downward scallops to the front and forward sides. The front center of the cap has a machine woven national eagle with out-stretched wings, clutching a wreathed, canted swastika in its talons, in pale, mouse grey rayon threads, mounted on a cut-out, woven dark blue/green rayon base. The front center of the fold down panels has a machine woven national tri-color cockade, in black, white and red rayon threads, mounted on a woven, dark blue/green rayon, diamond shaped base. Both the eagle and the cockade are original to the cap. The soutache was removed as per the 1942 regulation. The interior of the cap is fully lined in gray cotton/rayon blend material. The lining is excellent size stamp 55. and maker stamp inside nice , worn and slightly used example. . Nice period combat worn and used cap captured by a U.S. Veteran and brought home as a war trophy.
