In Workingย  conditionย  Civil War periodย  pistol .ย  It is a standardย  version with plane wood frame and steel lock and trigger guard.ย  ย This gun’s spring is tight and it does work and does fire and cock. Excellent strong spring! the lock is slightly worn but nice.ย  Still has the ram rod.ย  Has a nice engraving on the lock plate and initials on the backstrap plateย  ย The gun is about .69ย  caliber. a .69 Civil War rifleย  bullet fits in the barrel’s but it’s a bit loose so I am saying .69- .70 caliber. A real HAND CANNON! May have been varnised at some point but it looks great!ย  Many European weapons were exported to the US for sale before and during the Civil War. Most likely Irish made.
