OUTSTANDING Heavy Original Half Life Size Der Fuhrer Adolf Hitler Bust By T.H Linz Certified. Original cast heavy metal bust of Adolf Hitler in 1/2 life size by sculptor Theodor Linz. The bronze is 8 1/2″ tall,  It is signed in the metal Th. Linz, and stamped in the back of the neck.  Theodor Linz was a Nazi party member, SA man, and early fighter with Hitler and his brown shirts in the 1920’s.  He sculpted his bust from sketches that he made from life during this period.  The monumental size Hitler bust by Linz was commercially sold to the public, as evidenced by this 1935 sales brochure in the accompanying photos (not included).  Most of the small bronze Linz busts bear the stamped marking of the Munich retailer, Scholten und Hahn, (Schoha). The bronzes were cast by the H. Mayr foundry in Munich, though most are not so marked. Wartime casts were made of white metal and plaster versions exist. The metal bronze paint coated metal  is in excellent untouched condition, showing only a few superficial nicks and scrapes to the finish. The part that attaches to the base is partly chipped (see photo) metal casts in this desirable size are rare.  VERY HEAVY! A very nice looking artifact. very fine. In very good condition.
