Original WWII Japanese EM NCO Rifle Belt AND Cartridge Box Brought Home By A U.S. Soldier Certified. The standard, Type 30 (1897), uniform equipment belt in use by Japanese forces until the end of the war, upon which would have been slung the two forward and one reverse ammunition pouches and the bayonet frog. The leather  belt has one end folded and sewn around a single claw metal buckle, and the other end has  corresponding buckling holes to it. Would be able to use as a display, Good but not worn. Shows the expected age with original Standard issue, model 30 (1897) ammunition pouch as used by the Japanese army throughout the war. The 15cm x 10cm, dual pocket, rubberized canvas pouch originally would have held two groups of three five-round clips of 7.7mm ammunition. Hinged top flaps open outward and are each secured by a horizontal closure strap, with stud holes to each end, passing through vertical loops to the flap tops, and attaching to steel studs on either side of the pouches. Two vertical belt loops are sewn to the reverse  the loops are fragile. The interior is separated into two compartments by a thick divider.
