Original RARE WWII Japanese Summer Uniform In Excellent Condition Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified. An unlined, light tan/khaki cotton tunic. The tunic features four exterior pockets, a four-button single-breasted front closure, open neck lapels, and a lay-down collar that bear a single hook and eyelet. Collar tabs signify the rank of corporal. The patch breast pockets have scallop-edged button down flaps, with buttons, and the unbuttoned slash hip pockets have straight-edged flaps. All of the original buttons to the front closure, and the smaller ones to the breast pockets are complete. There are horizontal slashes under each armpit. A belt support loop of the same material as the tunic, sits to the wearer’s left hip, just below the arm pit. Markings are to the interior. Number marks inside and makers stamp inside. The tunic shows typical wear to fabric and stitching.
