All original and matching. Full size 6 shot single action Belgian proofs on barrel and frame. Factory scroll engraving on frame and barrel. Cylinder with roll engraved “NAVAL ENGAGEMENT” scene. Good overall with clear markings and engraving. Has 40-50% original nickel plating. Original bone grips. Action frozen with old grease and rust in the recesses. Need cleaning. Nice colorful Belgian Colt copy of type exported around the world in the 1860’s including America.   This Colt Brevet revolver is a nice representative sidearm of the Civil War.
