In Working  condition  Civil War period era pistol .  It is a fancy version with fancy wood grip slight chip see photos  and silver engraved  lock and trigger guard.  Has a rare coin silver  hardware   This gun’s spring is tight and it does work and does fire and cock. Excellent strong spring! the lock is slightly worn but nice.  No longer attached ram rod.  (see photo) it was loose so we think this is about 42 caliber! .
