SOLD

Original Mega Rare WWII Era German Early Black Allgemeine SS Leader’s Uniform For A OBERSTURMFUHRER (Officer) Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History.  An early black SS leader’s uniform for a OBERSTURMFUHRER assigned to the SS Gerichtsdienst (SS Legal/Court Service).  This was the SS Legal branch which developed the laws and legal codes (Including “Nuremberg” race laws) for the SS, Police, Secret Police, and other organizations under the auspices of the SS.  The uniform is made of an early quality black wool trikot in standard SS rock form.  4 button front, 2 pleated patch pockets, 2 slash side pockets, and includes a rare lapel buttonhole, a feature seen in early period photographs of Himmler and other SS leaders.  The rank is Obersturmfuher with unmarked unit tab and sleeve-band.   It has several loops on the tunic for awards and medals. This is a very high quality piece with black silk lining, off white silk sleeve lining, and an internal slit for wearing of an SS   dagger or Degen.  The buttonhole NSDAP (Nazi Party) membership badge was present in the lapel buttonhole when we obtained the uniform and we have left it there.   The tunic was worn quite a bit, judging from the wear to the front edge where the cross strap would rub against it, pocket flap edges, and so on, so this wasn’t sitting in the closet during the Third Reich period. There is a small repaired tear in the   right sleeve that you can see in the photos, which looks like it was period mended. Very RARE  tunic from a very small department of the SS!    100% Guaranteed to be authentic, A very collectible, investment quality,   authentic SS uniform that is among the most desirable and rare of all Third Reich Relics.   Complete museum documentation (COA) Provided. Certified by The Gettysburg Museum of History.   An important piece of WWII/Third Reich history. The original WWII period photos shown are not this uniform   but are shown in this listing to show SS   black uniforms in use. The Gettysburg Museum of History does not support or condone Adolf Hitler or the Nazi Party and is only offering this as a historic relic.
