Very Nice Original Non-Excavated Civil War U.S. Belt Plate (Buckle).  Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. A stamped brass lead filled model 1863 U.S. belt plate.   These plate has a nice combat used appearance showing lots of wear, This plate looks to be combat worn and not a surplus left over (see photos).. This plate would have most likely came home with a a solider and it is NOT excavated from a battle (NOT dug from the ground).  100% authentic.   All three   hooks   are present and it looks great, in excellent used condition.
