Original Civil War Period Cap And Ball .44 Caliber steel frame Antique Pistol Certified. Civil War Period .44 caliber Cap And Ball Pistol.  In Working condition Civil War period model pistol. There are no numbers, so it is impossible to accurately date this one. It is a standard version with plane wood grips and steel frame. This gun’s spring is tight, but it does work, fire and cock. Excellent strong spring! the grips are slightly worn but nice. The gun is about .44 caliber.  Many European weapons were exported to the US for sale before and during the Civil War. A classic Civil War period pistol and A choice functioning display gun.  A favorite of both Confederate and Union soldiers during the Civil War. Many Civil War soldiers carried private purchase “back up” weapons as illustrated in the photos. This gun is 100% guaranteed to be authentic, and unaltered. A fantastic functioning display piece.
