Original Confederate Used Cartridge Box Picked Up After The Battle Of Gettysburg With Old Ink Tag Certified. Original leather cartridge box with flap cut back for easy access to ammo during loading. It is a documented fact that many Confederate solider’s who used captured Union cartridge boxes preferred to cut the flap back to make loading easier. This box has an old ink museum tag and a museum number (the number appears to be from the Danner Museum). The back of the box has large initials carved into the box (also a Confederate trait). This box really whistles Dixie and is a great early Gettysburg battlefield pick-up. All Gettysburg relics were obtained before it was national Park and are 100% legal to own. There will be no more  relics from this area because relic hunting is now prohibited. 100% Guaranteed the be Authentic, Comes with Museum documentation (COA). Please see our other Gettysburg and Civil War relics. A very RARE opportunity, Danner items are in great demand so they rarely make it to the market, most are sold privately within the Gettysburg “super collector” community.
